Softline Design is set up!! (26/09/06)
Has been a while since I have updated this site. This is due to me being very busy with setting up my new company and working on my first clients website. Please feel free to visit Softline Design. The site is not really built at all just a holding page I have put up, as I am spending all my time on my clients site.
Sliding JavaScript Menu (29/08/06)
I have taken a similar layout as the "pop-up" menu example. I have updated the javascript file creating a sliding affect on the buttons. have a look in the Playground
Print contents feature (30/07/06)
Growth is now printer friendly! i have added the print feature into this site. it will use a second Style sheet to layout the text and remove unnecessary images and remove navigation all the footer info. This makes printing the contents a lot easier and clearer. Please see Code Cracker for more information on how to do this.
JavaScript Practice (16/07/06)
My employer has been looking at a new tool that will be JavaScript based so I have been practising my JavaScript skills plus integrating JavaScript and CSS: Growth Calendar and Drop-up navigation example
Typography (25/06/06)
Main logo Font = "BankGothic MT BT" and main text to be "Tahoma" Couldn't find good enough quality images of a tree so tried flowers but felt that it didn't fit in with the theme of the site so well so have chosen a back drop of leaves which I have drawn in photoshop. With the thought of "clear and clean" design I am trying a glass effect for backdrop of the navigation
Chosen theme (24/06/06)
Decided to go for Growth and a colour theme: Growth site colour theme
Themes (20/06/06)
Trying to come up with ideas for a theme for the site. So far I have: Code Cracker, Learning Zone, Growth, WIP and Note Book. I have been sketching thumbnail ideas (I will try and post them later.) for the designs I am trying to use CSS in a way that would make the design tricky using HTML and tables. Code Cracker is using a safe and has wires moving around the content, Growth has a tree up the side with branches out to the navigation and content. Will have to see what I come up with.
